Fraternity brothers first. Business partners second. Friends through all of it.
Eighteen years ago tomorrow, they bet on each other and started LABUR. The name is just their two last names stitched together, which tells you most of what you need to know about how they built it. No daylight between them.
What they built in Boston is real. The Inc. Magazine 5000 more than once. A team that keeps landing on best-places-to-work lists. Fortune 500 clients.
But the part I respect most is the thing they actually say out loud: put the human back in human capital. Easy to print on a wall. Hard to live for eighteen years.
I have watched founders chase the exit. These two chased the work. Different game.
Congratulations, gentlemen. The photo (and you) got older. The friendship is good as new.
Here is to the next eighteen.
