I have told these men things I have told almost no one else.
Eleven owners. One Entrepreneurs’ Organization forum. No agenda except honesty.
EO calls it going to the 5%. The part you keep hidden behind the door.
We got there fast. Nobody gave advice. Nobody tried to fix me.
They shared experiences and let me take what I needed.
I owe these men more than they know. They sat with me through business and personal, asked for nothing, and never once flinched.

What was said in that room stays in that room. That is the whole architecture, and the only skeletons I will ever write about are mine.
Here is what I learned there, and in every room since:
Everyone has skeletons. Everyone.
The skeletons only have power while they stay in the closet.
That became the impetus for the book I am writing: My Skeletons Are Better Than Yours.
Most operators (and people) I know think they have nowhere to put the hard part. So they carry it alone and call it strength.
You do not need a book deal or eleven people to start. You need one person who will not look away.
