Next Time Corporate Feels Heavy

February 2026 · 1 min read

Aspiring serial entrepreneurship can be stressful. Then I think about what my wife Ashley Bailey-Smith does every day.

For over 18 years as an assistant prosecuting attorney, she’s walked into courtrooms to fight for people on the worst days of their lives — handling the cases most attorneys wouldn’t want to touch.

She carries weight that doesn’t clock out. The victims, the responsibility, the cost of getting it right.

She doesn’t do it for recognition. She doesn’t do it for the money. She does it because someone has to — and she decided that someone would be her.

Next time corporate feels heavy, I will be sure to think about that.
